LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse
We are currently looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse. We are looking for a person that will be the right fit for our senior retirement community.
This person will be responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of all residents. Assure and provide health, safety and welfare of all adult residents of the Senior Living Community for the Eastern Star of California.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
o Implement and maintains Health Services standards and objectives in accordance with all Senior Living Community policies and procedures and Department of Social Services rules and regulations.
o Arrange, monitor and document the medical care including individual care and assessment plans appropriate to the needs of the residents. Document residents' response (or lack of) to treatment into residents' notes, Board Reports and residents' charts.
o Orders, distributes, monitors and records medications as necessary; evaluates the effectiveness of these medications and treatments. Verifies new medication cycle with MAR, Centrally Stored Sheet (CSS) and envelopes ensuring that the medications and MAR/CSS are correctly following the Physician orders.
o Responsible for the inventory and safe storage and/or disposal of all medications, medical supplies and equipment in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
o Maintain all required medical records in accordance with established Department of Social Services regulations.
o Supervises and assign direct nursing care to be given to residents by assistants and care givers.
o Inform Wellness Manager both written emails and orally of any changes in residents condition.
o Completes daily reports, (i.e.: Change of Shift Report, Daily Care Plan for Wellness residents, service care plan, fall log, incident report and treatment log).
o Act immediately on any resident crisis, calmly and professionally following facility protocol.
o Ensures that all residents' rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights including the right to wage a complaint are well established and maintained at all times. Preserve the dignity and self-respect of the residents at all times.
o Maintain confidentiality at all times.
HIRING CONTINGENCY:
Hiring is contingent upon a successful interview, application and clean background clearance (as required by the state of California) in addition to a TB test and physical.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
